Regular vehicle maintenance is important to ensure warranty compliance, minimize unplanned downtime and repairs, as well as reduce engine wear.

FleetPulse allows fleet managers to create maintenance schedules for their vehicles based on various criteria including distance traveled, accumulated engine hours or by dates. When a pre-set threshold is reached, the manager will be notified through their dashboard and/or email so they can proactively maintain the fleet. These schedule alerts are possible through the automatic extraction and analysis of odometer and engine hour data.


Vehicle Diagnostic Management

Unexpected events will occur even in well maintained vehicles. The FleetPulse VIU data collection device connects to the vehicle’s existing on-board diagnostics (OBD-II) port and extracts basic logistical data such as:

  • Engine parameters for coolant levels and temperature
  • Battery voltage
  • Engine light/malfunction indicator light (MIL) status and diagnostic trouble codes
  • Fuel and emission systems
  • Transmission and braking systems

Being able to view diagnostic problems before they interfere with vehicle operation allows fleet managers to proactively address issues during service visits, avoiding costly repairs.
